We are happy to welcome WAWCAS’ new Financial officer, Krishna Maharjan. Here he is talking about his background and first impressions of WAWCAS.
My name is Krishna Maharjan, and I am the new Finance Officer of the WAWCAS Programme at Slisha Nepal. I have a Master’s degree in Business Studies from Tribhuvan University and I am specialized in finance. In February 2016 I joined WAWCAS Program, Slisha.
I live in Kirtipur, Kathmandu with my wife, who is a nurse. We live in a joined family. My grandfather and grandmother worked as farmers and my father works as a carpenter. Moreover, my mum and my two brothers are living with us in the same house as well.
My prior work experience is as Finance Officer at Kirtipur Community Health Center from 2010 to 2014, and at Hilly Regional Development Organization Northern from 2015.
WAWCAS’ main theme Women at Work Children at School is very impressive to me, and within one month I have learned a lot about the programme from my colleagues at the office. I am enjoying listening to the women sharing their feelings and stories when I go to meet them in their businesses or during the training. I am very thankful to Slisha, WAWCAS for being a part of the programme.
Thanking you
Sincerely
Krishna MaharjanKrishna with his colleagues the two LP’s Sarika and Chandrika and Nina.
