In the coming months WAWCAS will receive exposure as part of the marketing of Danish bookstore chain Arnold Busck. This includes traditional marketing as well as events in both Copenhagen and Aarhus, where clients and other interested will be invited to come and meet WAWCAS Program Director in Nepal Sangeeta Shrestha and International Program Director Nina Schriver and hear them tell more about WAWCAS.
”Arnold Busck focus on education and we have a desire took take responsibility for education in a broad sense. That’s why we have chosen to support WAWCAS, which enables women to elevate themselves from poverty through education, inspiration and role models. This gives the children a chance to get the education and knowledge that can help them in making a better life for themselves,” says CEO of Arnold Busck A/S, Helle Busck Fensvig. Arnold Busck is the largest and eldest chain of bookstores in Denmark. The first store was opened in Copenhagen in 1896 and today the chain includes 30 stores distributed around the country.
“To us in Denmark education is connected to the activity of reading and getting knowledge through books. But we also know that education is about more than content. It’s about surroundings, inspiration, role models and a lot more. Denmark is privileged enough to have both the best surroundings for learning and the best educational material. That is not the case in Nepal where poverty, caste system and culture are major obstacles. WAWCAS succeeds in creating amazing results despite these obstacles,” concludes Helle Busck Fensvig.
“Education, inspiration and role models create amazing results in Nepal,”
