I can feel my behaviors are improving, and I am excited to share my experiences with the SWOT* analysis in this Part 13 of my blog.
Initially, I had no idea what SWOT* was or how to conduct one. However, during the 7-day training program with WAWCAS, I learned that SWOT involves evaluating your strengths and weaknesses, recognizing opportunities in your life, and identifying the challenges you face while working, along with strategies to overcome those challenges.
Before joining the WAWCAS program, I never focused on evaluating myself or addressing my weaknesses. Instead, I often talked about others behind their backs, pointing out their flaws rather than working on my own. Interrupting others was also a bad habit of mine. However, this changed once I became part of this wonderful program. I started identifying my weaknesses and actively worked to transform them into strengths.
Being 32 years old, I have had my share of experiences and learning moments, but my thinking was often flawed. I used to believe my world revolved around my husband and children. I thought my sole purpose was to do everything for them, not realizing that I needed to do something for myself too. There is still so much to learn, and learning is a never-ending journey.
Being naturally shy, I used to fear speaking up, especially during SWOT analysis. However, over time, I have seen significant changes in myself. From being a person afraid to speak, I am now able to express my thoughts openly and honestly. We all have weaknesses, but those who can identify and work on them are the ones who can truly succeed.
Every month, Sima visits our house, and my children and I eagerly look forward to her visits. I show her my diary, which details my weaknesses. I used to struggle with recognizing opportunities, understanding the importance of time, and often interrupted others. Sima gives me valuable suggestions and reassures me of the progress I’ve made. She is pleased to see the positive changes in me.
Recently, I have truly understood the importance of time and have been cutting unnecessary expenses while managing household chores. I believe in doing my own SWOT instead of relying on others’ opinions. I lacked the desire to learn before, but now I am eager to learn new things and continuously improve myself. In this way, I have transformed my weaknesses into strengths.
Through SWOT analysis, I have learned to turn my weak points into strong ones, embrace opportunities, and face challenges head-on. PCA*, SWOT, and PSRP* have brought a significant positive change in my life. These tools have been invaluable, and I will never forget the lessons they have taught me. I am committed to sharing this knowledge with others.
Finally, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the WAWCAS program and Sima for imparting this valuable knowledge to me. I look forward to learning many more things in the days to come. I am filled with hope and excitement for the future.
*Notes: SWOT is Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats, PCA is Pocket Chart Analysis, and PSRP is Participatory Self-Review Program.
