Development Projects: 2016 – 2020 

As the WAWCAS initiative grows we continuously find new areas of importance for taking the project to the next level. At the moment we work to find better solutions within:

» How to operate the value chain between the women’s businesses
» Better solutions for collecting water
» More professional skills in farming
» A concept for coordination of handicraft businesses
» How to run community banks
» A system for business development as the businesses grow
» A data system for monitoring and following up on KPI’s and development



To study and subsequently implement a number of value chains for farming and animal husbandry, for example through establishing:

Feed businesses • Animal Husbandries • Butchers • Shops


• To complete the development of the WAWCAS Data System for tablets
• To implement frequent data registration and analysis thereof
• Data provides knowledge on WAWCAS’ results, creates the basis for
••continuous adjustment of the program and for knowledge sharing


To establish, in collaboration with Grundfos, the possibility for clean water in the villages – for family homes and businesses


To establish a systematic analysis procedure for improvement opportunities in both existing and new WAWCAS businesses followed by the drafting of manuals and courses for training of LPL’s (WAWCAS’ trainers) and the women
