Part 4: Starting my business

The seven days training were the most memorable moments of my life. I am blessed to be part of Slisha WAWCAS program. I shared all the events with my children and husband. Due to the WAWCAS program my dream destination is getting closer every day.

During training, I became so sure about what my business should be. We had a business plan session, where I planned my business in details. It makes it easier for me to visualize where to start and how to start my business.

At the end of the training, I got a loan amount of fifteen thousand nepalese rupees.
To be honest it was like more than a million and money I would never have been able to achieve on my own. I couldn’t sleep the whole night.

Next morning I rushed to the wholesale to purchase things for my very own new business. With all the money, I purchased all the necessary items, that was required in my small grocery shop.
I am so happy and glad to be a part of WAWCAS, for me it’s like a new beginning and feels like I am newly born once again, with the strength to make my shop a popular spot in my village. I keep smiling every time the thought gets me. My very own business and noone elses…

More than just food on the tabel

The business means more than just food on the tabel. It’s the opportunity to get along with the other villagers and neighbors. I can interact with the people, who buy at my shop and share my experience of trainings too. Every night before bedtime I always analyze my daily expenses. I keep record of incomings and outgoings, which I learned during WAWCAS’ record keeping system training.

At the end of the day when I tug into bed and lies beside my husband, I always recall the day and feel lucky to be around with my loving children and supportive husband. Though I am separated from my mother in law, I still miss her. I wish she one day will love me and be a part of my family, which I consider as a “Happy family”.

I’m glad I was there to make those decisions to come out from my comfort zone and have my own business today.
I’m very excited about what the future will bring.
