I visited Nepal from 24th of October to 10th of November. This time Sangeeta and I spent a lot of time visiting some of the “old” WAWCAS women to follow up on how they are doing. It was so inspiring to talk with them, and it felt really good to hear how they are still in business and develop their business ongoing. Ratnamay is one of these “old” WAWCAS women, and
The implementation of the WAWCAS Data System gives a basis for better possibilities for analysis and development. Getting the complexity of the WAWCAS Program into a type of software that could be integrated with WAWCAS’ Data System has been quite challenging. However, together with our Data Team, the programmer managed to get the work done. And as a result we now have our own fully functioning WAWCAS online Data

It was very sad that our women did not receive the visa. However, we moved on as we always do. Visit to Denmark, wow!! That was also my

650 new women started in the program and are now on a good track on their way to a deeply changed life for themselves and their families. We still reach our high rate of success regarding 99% repayment of the loans, all children going to school and a big decrease in alcohol misuse and domestic violence – two parameters that follow each other. We have had to say good bye to two very good LPLs, Chandika and Rajina. They both got married – congratulations to both – and they are planning to move out of the country.
